		<description>In my experience the most common problem faced by designers is being taken seriously as problem solvers and specialists rather than &#039;people who make things pretty&#039;.

If a client picks you based on your signature look then you are going to have a long hard slog to be seen as someone with an understanding of their business needs. You can also easily be replaced with the next great new look when it comes along.

So, for me it&#039;s a varied portfolio that shows how the designers mind works and how they could solve problems or help clients reach their business objectives rather than one look which saddles you as a stylist (whether you have the talent and expertise or not).</description>
