I saw a fantastic after-post layout earlier today (Freelance Folder possibly?) which incorporated a small ad, social media links, subscription links and related posts. However, it was beautifully laid out and got most of the 'next actions' for a reader in one place. I'd love to emulate that look.

Gerard, it's good to hear that there are still bloggers out there who care more about their readers' experience rather than personal "profit". Although all those other things that users might find helpful anyway, they should be placed more tastefully.

This is actually something I've been thinking about on one of my blogs - I've definitely made it difficult to find the comment form by having social media links/adverts/related posts before the comment listing.

I've been meaning to swipe a lot of those away to move the comments to a more prominent place below the post - and see if it encourages more people to leave comments.
