I'm currently working on something, and I'm considering using this mootools sliding sidebar to hide it. The reality is that the sidebar is handy in a lot of cases, but that's typically 5% of the time, if that makes sense. Like a search... A search is definitely nice to have. But I can't say that I've used a search on someone's blog more than 10 times in my life.

Anyway, I'm a fan of the single-column blog, too, despite the design of my personal site.

I am doing what I can to bring my sidebar back, actually re-designing it at the moment.
