I totally agree with Karen. Anytime I post something, NOBODY gives a crap. What pisses me off the most is that the stuff I post is usually relevant info once in a blue moon. I see people posting stupid crap about their kids or what color coat they should buy and get like 20+ comments back on it. They should call it Familybook. It’s a joke. I’m DONE with it too!

I agree but in reality its just a site to stalk old friends and see what they look like…reality is you only chat with your circle of friends.

SAME HERE.

My reason? I post things that are especially important to me. I’m basically throwing myself out there, revealing things about me I never thought I would. It’s nothing bad AT ALL… it’s like like a huge deadly secret of mine or anything like that. No one says anything about them. Sure, they’ll write something on my wall, but won’t even BOTHER to look at what I just posted (it’s on my mini-feed… you can’t ignore it). They choose to ignore me. I don’t get any feedback whatsoever.

So what’s the point of continuing Facebook if I don’t get any acknowledgement??

I’M DONE.

I wandered onto this page while looking for ways to block facebook invites..I HATE THEM!!! I feel annoyed by them..those application invites. I understand your stress from them..I get one NEARLY each day..I’ve even gone onto my friend’s pages and personally blocked each one on their page (going to all applications on their page and clicking the block button)..doenst help completely tho b/c they end up adding new apps..ugh.

I dont blame you for leaving facebook. I wish you the best. take care. later.

Jack, it’s not hard at all. E-mail, phone, SMS… And I did actually send old-school Christmas cards this year, for some reason. I can’t say that Facebook is saving me much time in this aspect, if I write a message to a friend in Facebook, or in Gmail, it’s basically the same. But at least I don’t have to deny as many app requests in Gmail… ;)

I never got into the whole Facebook phenomena. I only signed up for the same reason I ever had a MySpace account – to keep up with events. I could never wrap my head around people wanting to add every single person they ever made eye contact with to a list of “friends”.

The terrible applications and gratuitous advertising/privacy issues just sealed the deal. Ding dong the witch is dead.
