Kinda off topic:
My goodness... Who coded the plaxo site? Good to see they've coded semantically with good use of CSS.

/sarcasm

Seriously, javascript for rollovers? Who does that anymore?!!!

Jarkko, I like the 'lifestream' concept. The demon in the background.

Olly, I haven't had chance to try them out yet today, but will as soon as they officially launch.
What is Beta nowadays? Gmail?
I think promoting your service too early can have a negative backlash, better wait some more days.

Overly bitter point of view I feel, the service is in beta after all, and seems to be working pretty well in my opinion. Have you tried it again today? I actually think it's pretty cool, no Facebook killer, but then again I don't think this is really their goal. They are trying to tie together all the disparate online services that your contacts use and let you know as and when they update them, Facebook included.

That said, the new Plaxo is an excellent, free, syncing machine between (for example) Google Calendar and your iCal. I never go to the site, though, just let the daemon do its job in the background.
