That’s what I am curious to see though Justin, it’s an old school institution which isn’t known for giving new shows time to see if they will improve. How many shows on TV are on for 3-4 weeks and then dropped? I’m not saying she is in the same position, but she might be.

For some reason I can picture her saying “we need this…” and the execs simply telling her to work with it.

I definately think it needs more time — and community. And I think she knows.

She keeps talking about bringing independent media to the masses so in that sense her partnership with ABC works. There is a lot more she can do with the space and I think she will, once she gets centered. If she couldn’t even bypass the default video player I imagine there’s a lot more she couldn’t bypass as well in terms of format. They hired Amanda Cogdon from Rocketboom so that’s what she’s doing. I’d like to believe she’ll take it and run.

I don’t think I could sell out because I like to have a certain amount of control over my projects. Even if CTV, CityTV or Global came up to me with a contract, I’d have to turn it down because there’d probably be some kind of stipulation that severely limits my control.

But then again, Brad Butt didn’t have problems working with CTV and retaining his independance so maybe I am just paranoid.
