No, the World Wide Web is not 20 years old. It was created in 1991 and the first website was launched in 1992.

The internet, on the other hand, the global network of interconnected computers is 50 years old. A UK newspaper reported this and now everybody is following suit.

The World Wide Web is 16 Years old.

As it turns out the web as it is today is only just getting to be how Sir Tim Berners-Lee made it with the first web browser, a social experience where people can edit and work upon others work.

Thanks.
