This opens the bookmarks sidebar (which del.icio.us now inhabits) and sets focus to the search field. From there, just type CSS, for example, to see all the items you've tagged CSS. Of course, there are no sexy icons, but it's quick and portable. While I like the idea behind tlbox, it seems to me like the current del.icio.us bookmark add-on meets the needs you raised in the article.
