Agreed on MySpace / Technorati. I can't believe how bad some of the technical issues are at Technorati, but it rarely gets press.

I'd throw my vote against Digg as well simply because the community that is forming around it makes the Slashdot community seem friendly, openminded and informed.

I think MySpace is going to die. They've become a little too cocky with all their success, and by all means and appearances it looks like they've reached the threshhold of unstoppable. But the fall always comes when it's least expected. With all the money they're making, it looks like none of it is being invested into making the uberpopular site any faster or easier to use, and with the clearly superior alternatives out there (like Facebook, which has only recently opened its doors to the world at large), I'm beginning to see more and more people leave MySpace in favor of greener grass (at least that seems to be the case within my social circle).

One thing Facebook can do (and should do, in my opinion) is offer more customizable profiles. Obviously not to the extent that MySpace allows, or it will become just as awful as its rival, but a few limited options which would allow one to distinguish their profile would not hurt and would give Facebook one of the few edges MySpace has in terms of features. As a web designer, I did like the fact that I could completely overhaul my MySpace profile (myspace.com/c_vincent), but it's not enough to keep me coming to that site more often than once or twice a week.

1. MySpace - Every time I look at a site from there it reminds me of the 90's.

2. Flock - Good concept but development sucks.

3. Technorati - Again, good concept but it seems to fall short every time.

1. +1 for myspace; rename it with "waste"space and send to hell2.0

2. payperpost; rename it to "SellYourSoul" and send it to hell again.

3. (I resist to add this because it's really is a useful resource but anyway...) Digg

1. Studivz.net - Similiar to Facebook, this German "company" has been sold for 100 million Euros a few days ago.
2. Technorati.com
3. Flock - I actually really like it, but there are no extensions available and development takes ages.
