This is definitely NOT a good thing. Don&#039;t use a TLD which has nothing to do with your website. If your company&#039;s/website&#039;s market is The Netherlands, use a .nl domain, if you&#039;re international use .com. But do not try to use a &#039;fun&#039; extension like www.services-for-compani.es or www.lamborghini-counta.ch, that&#039;s just wrong.

I can think of some cases where you might want to misuse a country extension. Using .tv and .fm for television and radio stations is not too bad, these sound like real international top level domains though. Not something you can say about your examples.

It&#039;s not something you want to be advertising! The average visitor (apparently) doesn&#039;t know the difference between Google and a browser, so even if he knows how to open a website without Google, those &#039;fun&#039; domain names will not be his first choice. So always try to stick with www.company-name.com. (del.icio.us does not redirect to delicious.com for no reason...)</description>
