Somehow you are like I pictured you. Young, self assured look and a soccer fan.

After recently seeing pictures of you, Jon Hicks, Andy Budd, and others for the first time, I've realized that people look absolutely nothing like how I imagine them to look. Why don't you look like a nerd like the rest of us?! Sheesh... =) *grin*

Is that an orange tree behind you? Damn, we've got 6 inches of snow on the ground up here (Western NY).

Scrivs, you look like a Gabber!
AJAX!

Nice shirt ;)

Woah, memories of Bergkamp, Kluivert, Overmaars...
Haven't seen an Ajax jersey in a while, all we get here is Madrid Madrid Madrid...

Like Ryan, I expected a stereotypical nerd - all acne, spectacles and pocket protectors. Instead we get the US Marine Corp.!

Glad to learn that you're a soccer fan, though I'm not too sure about your choice of team! ;-)

I think you should do the decent thing and get yourself an Arsenal top Scrivs. Only then will you really look the part:)

Andy Mac (http://branchleft.co.uk/)

Well to kill all speculation my other two favorite teams are AC Milan and Arsenal so Andy Mac you should at least be happy with that.

And yes that is an orange tree in the backyard. Got two of em along with some nice 75 degree weather :)

I pictured you more dave shae looking but instead you look like someone who should be in Iraq right now....

I had a little taste of warm weather yesterday. It was about 65-70 and sunny. Drove around with the windows down and wearing a t-shirt. Today it snowed.

Y'know it's funny, that is pretty much what I expected you to look like for some reason. Amazing how you can start to picture what someone looks like just from reading their work.

And 75 degree weather?! Springtime is never, ever going to come to Philadelphia it seems.

That's so funny - I was totally shocked to see a picture when I loaded the page! I'm just so used to there being no images on this site, you surprised me!

You looked way cooler than I imaged, BTW (not that I imagined you to look bad or anything!) Hehe.

Now you need a hefty contract to go with the baseball cap. Haha.

Wait a minute, is that a soccer jersey?

*Marvels at <img> tags* Ooh...

Why do I always expect everyone to look so much older than they are? It's weird to think I look up to people only a few years older than me. I've got some catching up to do.

Btw, you're still about 63 photos behind Nielsen. :)

Jack:

You know what? When you're older, like, say, me... you'll find it even weirder to look up to people *younger* than yourself... ;)

You actually look like Ronaldo of Brazil and Real Madrid (with out the big teeth).

I have a few old Ajax shirts even though I am a Man Utd fan and I still collect football shirts.

BTW: Hoping not to start a big arguement but why do Americans call it "Soccer" ? Surely you should be calling it "Football" like most of the world does because unlike American football you actually use your feet!

Paul Michael Smith (http://www.smithpaul.com)

american footbal/Gridiron you use your feet? how do you think they kick their penalties?

Australia and New Zealand call it soccer aswell, i think its only referred to football in countries that only have one sport where you have to kick the ball :p

/me is jealous of that wonderful weather. I dont know what you're talking about the border-thingy, though ... ?

And you don't really use your feet in American football. Just to kick extra points & field goals. Read http://www.didyouknow.cd/sport/football.htm if you're interested about how the word 'soccer' came about.

You look like my cousin, just a couple years older. And the <img /> tags are a nice change of pace, good work! ;)

So ummm, pretty much everyone just wants pictures and images and no words huh? Glad to see what I have to say counts :-P

Scrivs (http://www.9rules.com/whitespace/)

Well hello, Paul. Good to see you. You dress like I expected but for some reason I thought you were from a different ethnic group, so you definitely look a lot different than I expected.

And dammit, stop rubbing the nice weather in our faces. heh.

thomas -- soccer comes from 'association'? I never would have guessed. I always assumed it was from someone saying "sock her hard and get her in the goal" or something like that. :-)

*swoons* OMG. You are definitely not the streotypical computer nerd. Cute. ;-)

Lea (http://xox.lealea.net/)

Thanks Lea. You are definitely not that bad yourself ;-)

Sucks to see you have a problem...I mean boyfriend though...

Hahahahahahahaha. (^O^)

Ahhhh, don't worry, because your time will come. Actually, you might get more mail from your female readers.
