Summary: I have a bet. Pray that I win.
...because of its simplicity and elegance. How it can deliver such a powerful message through such a non-invasive interface, THEN BY ALL MEANS PRAY THE MARLINS WIN!!!!!!!!!
Keith and I have placed a friendly wager on the series. I went with the Marlins and he went with the Yankees (neither one of us are fans of either team, we just though this would be fun). Instead of getting into a cross blog trash talk fest, why not just place bets on stuff. Less people get hurt that way, right? The loser has to place a banner at the top of their site created by the winner and display it for a whole week. If I lose I myself may not visit the site for that week. Victory will be sweet.
On that note if someone could provide me with some links showing how to create annoyingly ugly banners I would greatly appreciate it. You know the ones that flash, move, blink, and cause you to go into convulsions. I need something like that.

While I'm not a baseball expert, or even a fan (hell, I don't even watch it), I think you've got the short end of the stick there, Paul.
But if not, maybe you can make a new version of 'punch the monkey and win'

I don't think it would take me too much time to whip up a disgustingly annoying banner. There was a time when they were all the rave and I think I might even have some templates around somewhere....

Sometimes I hate being right. Sometimes. Definitely not this time though.
