I don't know if they're in every big city, but have a look out for the buses with the Yodobashi Camera livery - the sides of these buses have been decorated so that the wheels form the lenses of cameras. They're pretty cool. And if you're in Osaka, I saw a TV show over the New Year that said that a lot of middle aged women in Osaka like clothes with prints of big cats on them - i.e. leopards, tigers, lions etc. I have a feeling you will know exactly what I mean when you see them; you should see how many photos you can get!
