Wisdump Logo Idea Help
I am by no means a logo designer (or any designer at all), but everyone knows I love quality design and I was thinking that it would be really nice to have a cool logo for this site, but I have no ideas. I know the name itself “dump” doesn’t necessarily evoke the greatest of imagery in people’s minds and I think that is where I get stuck. So I am reaching out to you and asking if you could share some ideas for a logo.
I will more than likely end up butchering your ideas in a whatever graphics program I decide to use, but at least that’s a step in the right direction. If you could also throw out some ideas for typefaces for the logos letters that would rock as well.
So today and this week take the time to ignore the rest of the work you have and help me out. Let’s have some fun.

What about something like a truck backing up to a head, dumping idea’s into it? I could be pretty cool if done properly. I’m thinking along the lines of something almost cartoonish – kind of like how Dan did the Corkd wine guy.
I’m lost for a typeface though

Yeah I’m always digging the playful type of logos and I can definitely imagine what you are going with, but certainly can’t imagine myself trying to pull off something like that :-). You never know though I will do some sketching.

What’s wrong with the current “circle W” logo? I kind of like it – nice and simple, and can be done in an infinite amount of colors.

That logo can be refined as well as it was a quick 2 minute job, but it certainly can be done better.

I was thinking a head with the top hemisphere cut off and open on a hinge with wisdom flowing out of it.

I took your idea to an extreme Steven and just made the circle the only logo there is and I like the idea.

Then why don’t you go at it like logo designers do? Ask someone here to provide you with an identity questionnaire and take the time to seriously fill it out.
Ok, that my seem a bit boring at first, but there are reasons why some logos are kick-you-in-the-head-gorgeous and others are well-that’s-nice-um-sort-of.
After all the answers are in it becomes brainstorming on steroids. Very nice.
disclaimer: I’m not saying ‘all’ logos without a design brief are not kick-you-in-the-head-gorgeous, but it does give you a leg up by knowing what/why/who for/ …

It looks ominous.
For some reason I can picture the W opening up and ninja Martians with ray blasters jumping out.
I’m also drinking my coffee with Baileys this morning, so that might have something to do with it.
