If you’re running an e-commerce website, your main goal is to get as many sales as possible to come through your site. To do this, you’re going to need to figure out how to best convert your visitors into customers or clients.
If this is something that your website has been struggling with, here are three ways you can tweak your website so that you can start to bring in more sales.
Put All Relevant Information Close To The CTA
One of the most important parts of your e-commerce website is your calls-to-action. If your CTAs are working how they should, you should be seeing a lot of visitors converting and meeting whatever the goal of that particular call-to-action.
When the call-to-action that you’re trying to make happen has to do with directly making a purchase, Lee Wilson, a contributor to Search Engine Journal, recommends that you try to add more relevant information about whatever your visitor will be purchasing as close to the CTA as you can get it.
By giving your visitors more information that could help them in making their decision whether or not to purchase something from you, you’ll be addressing and removing potential obstacles that are standing in their way. So whether your visitors might require more information about applying for a car loan or are needing additional specifications on sizing for your product, if you can answer these questions within view of your CTA, you may find that you get a lot more conversions.
Replace Text With Video Content
Most marketers know that people often choose to get their information from a video rather than reading something. However, many e-commerce websites don’t use video to their advantage as much as they should.
To get the benefits of this media, you may want to try replacing some of the text you have on your website with video content that conveys the same messaging. According to Tom Wentworth, a contributor to Mashable.com, adding a video to your landing page can increase your conversion rates by about 86 percent, which is something most businesses can’t afford to pass up.
Provide More Social Proof
Sometimes, what really stops people from completing a sale through an ecommerce website is not knowing if the product or service is legitimate.
To help your visitors overcome this hang up, Wesley Cherisien, a contributor to Business2Community.com, advises that you provide more social proof on each of the pages of your website. By showcasing reviews from previous customers, your visitors will see the legitimacy of both your business and the product or service that you’re selling.
If you’re wanting to drive more sales through your website, consider using the tweaks mentioned above to help you take your ecommerce site to the next level.
