Whitespace on Styleboost

Whitespace was featured on Styleboost today with a rating of 82%. Not bad for a site that doesn't use graphics.

UberGeeks Redesigned

I was beginning to think that the redesign was a myth, but it seems it finally happened. Not that bad of a job from Colin and Co.

Darice Redesigns

9rules Member Darice de Cuba has redesigned. Actually simply saying she has redesigned doesn't do this any justice as she has mixed liquidity and simplicity to form a beautiful and cohesive experience.

Well-done.

Blue Flavor Launches

Last week it was clear:left and this week it is Blue Flavor. Best of luck to D. Keith Robinson, Matt May, Brian Fling and Nick Finck.

Web Developer's Handbook

If you ever needed a site that contained all the best resources for web developers then look no further than the Web Developer's Handbook. The list is huge and the font is tiny.

Yep, definitely created for Web Developers.

Slashdot Goes CSS

Slashdot has finally made the move to XHTML/CSS for it's site. Still ugly. Still popular. Still trollish. Ever reason to love a site.

clear:left

Andy Budd, Jeremy Keith and Richard Rutter decided that if they are going to spend all their time drinking together, they might as well get some work done together as well.

clear:left is their baby. Not like 3 men can have a baby together, but if three men could it wouldn't surprise me if they were British.

The Otaku Chronicles

The Otaku Chronicles is a beautiful site. Why isn't this in the galleries yet?

Microsoft Gadgets

So the homepage for Microsoft Gadgets is probably the best designed Microsoft site in a long time (not saying that means much though), but when you got to an internal page is it any surprise that it breaks?

So close, but yet so, so far.

iPod Nano Minisite

I like sites with lots of images as much as I like books with lots of pictures. Nice job Apple.

Displaced Designer

This is what makes me love the Internet. Displaced Designer allows designers and companies to help designer victims in the Katrina aftermath get back on their feet. Without the web something like this would take a considerable time of money and time.

Please do your best to help in any way you can if possible.

DNA Art

DNA 11 takes a strand of your DNA and creates art from it that you can hang on your walls. Pretty cool concept, but I'm not sure I can be bothered telling the 1 million people that enter my house per year what exactly the blob is on the wall.

I like the design of the site as well.

Bombast Redesigns

Current 9r member William Peng has redesigned his blog and has brought some hotness to the scene. It seems we are again in an era of design where trends are being pushed and beautiful is coming back strong.

Make sure to drop him a comment to let him know what you think.

evolt Returns

The old guard of web community sites seem to be a dying breed with the new kids coming and making their claim to fame so it was both surprising and refreshing to see evolt rise from the dead.

They use a liquid layout which I am sure many will find helpful, but for me it's disconcerting, especially when combined with the small text. For a site with so much talent working behind the scenes I would've expected a better brand presence.
